My Therapeutic Approach
Perhaps you're down or anxious. Maybe you're unsure about the future of a relationship or just feel that you aren't living the life you were meant to. Whatever your needs may be, I am here to offer support. I use an informal, collaborative approach, and draw upon various treatment models, including acceptance and commitment therapy (mindfulness), cognitive behaviour therapy, motivational interviewing, relational life therapy, solution-focused therapy, and family systems.
In a non-judgmental manner, I join with you in arriving at a deeper understanding of your experience. Your goals and how to best achieve them will be identified. I highlight your strengths and appreciate your self-determination as you move from suffering to self-discovery, hopelessness to healing, and inner turmoil to inner peace and the potential for a more fulfilling life.
The number of therapy sessions required to experience lasting change varies from person to person, and progress is typically realized in 1 to 8 sessions.
